Here are my Favorite, Not to Mention, Most Reasonable, Diets:
If you stick to it, this really does take that layer of unwanted water weight or fat right off your body.
Eliminates: all grains, dairy and legumes
The Clean Program:
Detox 2-3 times a year for 3 weeks at a time. A detox program of your choice where you would consume two of your meals in liquid form each day.
Eliminates: Gluten, dairy, eggs, sugar, alcohol and various other allergy triggers
22 Days Vegan:
You can thank Jay and Bey for bringing attention to this one. This is a part of Marco Borges’ 22 Days Nutrition challenge.
Clean and Lean:
James Duigan, personal trainer turned health coach, is the mastermind behind this. The first 14 days of this, you are to eat protein, eggs, and veggies. Then, after 14 days, you can add fruits and small amounts of dairy. You are to eat nothing processed.
Use this if you want to stop counting calories. Atkins really just consists of protein rich foods that are high in healthy fat (avocados, nuts, eggs, fruit, veggies and cheese). Zero Carbs allowed in this one.
The foundation of this diet is keeping your body’s pH level between 7.35 and 7.45. Don’t be deterred because you don’t have a “pH level-telling-machine.” Here is what the breakdown basically consists of:
80%: Fruits, veggies, nuts and legumes. To be more specific, foods with the highest alkaline are: fennel, broccoli, grapefruit, and kale.
20%: Acidic foods: wheat and dairy products, coffee, sugar, meat, fish and alcohol.
Use good judgment in gauging 20%. What I would really like to say is, use good judgement with wine consumption. You are not allowed to have less of the 80% foods because you want to consume more wine, which falls in the 20%… ;)…
